What happens at the end of the trial?

At the 12-month follow up visit, your child will stop trial treatment and return to the standard treatment at their hospital.

Once we have the results of this trial, we will let your hospital know whether your child was given azithromycin or placebo and they can let you know.

It is intended that the results of this trial will be presented at conferences and published in medical journals so that we can explain to the medical community what our research results have shown. Confidentiality will be ensured at all times and you will not be identified in any publication.
